Lexie Smith

Office Manager & Executive Assistant

Lexie is our jack of all trades. Whether she’s answering calls, building relationships with our clients and partners, writing correspondence, troubleshooting problems, organizing chaos or booking travel arrangements, her role at FMS keeps her hopping. It’s her challenge to make sure everything is running smoothly in the office, filling in the gaps when needed and keeping everything afloat with operations. She is a good listener, likes to surprise others by being super responsive and excels at service. When she’s not ordering supplies, coordinating support, scheduling team events, or welcoming guests, she might be enjoying dinner her husband cooked for her, listening to murder mysteries, trying out new restaurants, and staying busy serving others.

Number of plants I've kept alive.

A random number that seems to follow me.

Number of sleep hours it takes to be my best self

Number of times I turn down French fries.

A few things you didn’t know about Lexie:

I’m just so practical. I have some jewelry from my grandmother that I would hate to lose. She was a saint.
I am an open book. My internship at Hatch Show Print was pretty cool; I made a cool poster for Fallout Boy. And my husband is something of a chef in his free time.
French fries, or some form of fried potatoes.
I don’t think so. I like a lot of color. I tend to like neutrals. I find greys interesting, or a rich navy, or green. But grey is probably my favorite because it is actually several colors at the same time. I used to scrape my paint into a jar, and the grey was so neat. I could make a whole painting out of that.
I’m pretty good at “tetris”ing things, organizing. I am really good at starting one thing and turning it into ten things; I lose steam halfway through. It is the curse of really enjoying structure but also having a creative brain; they tend to fight with each other sometimes.
I’m not afraid of anything yet, but I am afraid of caterpillars. They really freak me out. They are just weird, the way they inch. They are just unnatural. Butterflies are fine. I am also terrified of vomit. I am an emetophobe.
Pretty typical. I am the oldest of three girls. I have a sister who is 16 months younger than I am. I was your typical first child, a little bossy. I wanted to be helpful, but also had to be in everyone’s business. I asked a lot of questions.
I’m actually not a huge traveler; I don’t like being out of my comfort zone, out of control. I do enjoy traveling once I am there if all the things are going well; if they are not, it is not super-fun. I am not an adrenaline junkie.
My dream job is to be a stay-at-home dog mom, he is so cute.
