Lexie Smith

Office Manager & Executive Assistant

Lexie is our jack of all trades. Whether she’s answering calls, building relationships with our clients and partners, writing correspondence, troubleshooting problems, organizing chaos or booking travel arrangements, her role at FMS keeps her hopping. It’s her challenge to make sure everything is running smoothly in the office, filling in the gaps when needed and keeping everything afloat with operations. She is a good listener, likes to surprise others by being super responsive and excels at service. When she’s not ordering supplies, coordinating support, scheduling team events, or welcoming guests, she might be enjoying dinner her husband cooked for her, listening to murder mysteries, trying out new restaurants, and staying busy serving others.

A few things you didn’t know about Lexie:

My dad saved every family Christmas card & letter since I was born. When I got married, he put them all into a book and gave it to me. So that’s pretty special! But honestly, I’m so practical … most of my things are replaceable.
I had an internship at Hatch Show Print and made show posters for bands and events, that was pretty cool! I even made a poster for Fall Out Boy once - teenage Lexie would have gone NUTS to know this!
French fries.
I don’t think so. My favorite colors are always changing, but I don't gravitate to bright colors. When I was in college taking painting courses, I used to scrape all of the paint into a jar at the end of each class. It was always so interesting to see how the paint color would shift throughout the semester...it was always a different version of gray, sometimes more blue or purple or green. It was quite beautiful!
I’m pretty good at “tetris”ing and organizing tricky spaces. I am also really good at starting one project and turning it into ten more projects!
I love that I get to dabble in lots of different areas of the agency.
Pretty typical. I am the oldest of three girls. I was your typical first child...a little bossy. I wanted to be helpful, but also had to be in everyone’s business and asked a lot of questions. (Not much has changed!)
I’m actually not a huge traveler. I don’t like being out of my comfort zone, out of control. I usually enjoy myself once I arrive, though.
Probably something connected to childbirth in some way...maybe as a doula or childbirth educator or lactation consultant. I've always been a bit of a "birth nerd" and now that I'm a mom myself, it's become an even bigger passion of mine.
